Autocad 98 to autocad 2007

Does anybody know if autocad 98 lt files are transferable to autocad 2007 lt?

Yes, any file created in an older version of Autocad can be opened in a newer version.

Older AutoCAD versions can't open newer AutoCAD versions; i.e.: 2009 doesn't open in 2000, '00 opens in '09.

 

Save drawings in an older version if you don't know what version your recipient has!

Holds true posting *.dwg files in the forums, many don't have '08 or '09.

I often want to take a peek-a-boo at drawings posted, can't open 'em if created in vs. '08 or vs. '09.

 

I always email *.dwg vs. 2000 although the *.dwg was created in '05 or '07 (we don't have '08 or '09 to date).

I save drawings created in '05 or '07 to version 2000.

 

I avoid the call, "Can't open your *.dwg file! Please resend in vs. 2000."
