Its possible, but its not with the stretch comand, i do not remember the comand name but i know there a comand where you can stretch the solid.

You can make the block and change scale on axes in the Properies window.

Select the 3D object.

Hold down the CTRL key and select it again.

You should see some grips at the corners and the midpoint of the edges. Click on one of the grips to stretch that edge or corner.

This works in AutoCAD 2007 or above.

It will be released at 12 February (may be) and you can buy it the end of March. Let's wait till Monday...

The only problem doing it this way is that once you mess with the scales individually, you cannot explode the block into a solid.

i still say scale1d with out blocking/grouping would be best.

Scale1d for autocad solids would be nice but it is not exactly the same as "Stretching".

turn on control points for all objects to be effected and make a selection of the ones that will be effected

that or a cageedit would maybe work too in space

Scale1d? Cageedit? What commands are these? You realize that the poster was asking a question regarding stretching solids in Autocad, right? These commands do not exist in Autocad and will only cause confusion for new users.

HaxLi: Use the Move Faces command. You'll find it in the solids editting tools.

Use the Move Faces command

Thank you, that worked out.

But how easier to select faces, like lines in STRECH cmd for 2D? It takes time to select each one by one.. ;]

And is it possible to make Parametric Constrains for 3D Solids that I could change length for object like for 2D ones?

Thank you for you answers and time

I'm not sure parametric constraints can be applied to 3D objects in AutoCAD. It is a feature I have only experimented with but have not used on a regular basis.

Crossing windows can be used to select or deselect groups of lines that make up faces.

Any idea on how to make dynamic 3D solid (that shelf on pisture)?

I mean the possibility to change the Length or Height by entering a value

Seen something alike in SkechUp but it's not so friendly with exporting to CAD..

EDIT: Found that there's a BLOCK which may do the trick, just don't know how to do it for 3D, Extruded shell objects..
