Pete999
Hi, Having a problem trimming circles with the trim command in 3D. "Tr, enter, enter" and all lines become cutting lines. So when I do this all my solid lines become dashed, yet when I click to trim, the selected line becomes solid and nothing happens. Strangely, linear lines will trim with no problem, it is only the arcs of intersecting circles that will not trim. Even if I draw linear lines through the circles and follow standard procedure for trimming, the linear lines trim but the intersecting lines of circle will not. Help. This problem does not occur in 2D. Wondering if it may be my computer.... needs Ram upgrade? etc. Thank You, Pete
ReMark
I'm not sure why you would equate not being able to trim in 3D with not enough RAM but be that as it may did you check to see if the objects were drawn on the same plane? nestly
TRIM has a projection mode (see command line after selecting cutting edges. If the objects do not have an actual intersection, they won't TRIM/EXTEND unless Projection is enabled.

Pete999
...problem solved...selcted all, then trim, at command line asked for projection, the UCS, then selected line to trim and it worked fine. Going to redo the approach with some basic samples to ensure it work all the time. Thank you for your help. Cheers, Pete
