slimpickinz
Tried to attach a blank drawing (but exceeds max size), which has been cleaned up as much as I can... purged, detached X-REFS, ran Superpurge, kicked around and otherwise abused... Still cannot get rid of all these linetypes pickup up from copy & paste of another drawing. Will post link to drawing as soon as I can upload to my server... Any ideas?? Thanks! -SlimP
ReMark
My guess is, without seeing the full linetype name, you have tons of Microstation linetypes being loaded. Have you tried the old trick of WBlocking out your drawing?
slimpickinz
hmmmm... think so, but will try again... here is a link to the DWG http://dkdesigns.us/docs/blank-w-linetypes.dwg
slimpickinz
Nope, didn't work. A tell tale sign something is a miss in that the "blank" drawing is 1.3MB. Not good. Take a peek at the drawing... maybe you will see something I am missing. -SlimP
ReMark
Well the linetypes were not from Microstation so I was wrong there. I think they may have been from an AutoCAD vertical product (Civil 3D?). Anyway, I got the file size down to 56KB. Anything else you need me to do with it?
slimpickinz
yeas please... tell me how you did it! I have many many drawings that are in need of attention. And I am only running LT 2012 here at work, but do have a LISP machine at home.. ACAD2015.
slimpickinz
& can you do the trick on this one? It is a basic shop drawing that I am having problems with... http://dkdesigns.us/docs/test002.dwg
ReMark
I did not use lisp. I used the EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command.

ReMark
WBlock did work for me. Unfortunately I am not on my CAD computer at the moment so I cannot attach a copy of the drawing.

ReMark
The seven of clubs. Cleaned up using the WBlock command. Saved in 2010 file format. Test002_Magic.dwg
slimpickinz
Thanks! Lucky guess on that 7 of clubs though... I will do research on that WBLOCK cleanup method and try it on some of these drawings. -SlimP
slimpickinz
I am thinking that this is a LT vs Full Version issue as I had another user running ACAD 08 Full Version simply WBLOCK the entire drawing and it cleaned it up nicely. Did the exact same thing with this ACAD LT 2012 and did not work. Thoughts? And see if your magic is working this morning oh mighty one.... ReMark
Ace of spades. I could test your theory re: full AutoCAD vs. LT when I get back to the office on Monday. I am working off-site today.
