whitemarlin Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 all my dimensions are stuck in inches. for example when i dimension a 3 foot object it reads 36". How do i get this changed back? Quote
ReMark Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Not an Arch 2008 user but have you checked your dimension style? Might want to change from fractional to architectural. Also check to see if there is symbol in the suffix field. Quote
whitemarlin Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 Already checked dimstyle settings. I'm in architectural and i dont have anything in the suffix field. ???? Quote
ReMark Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I'm using 2009 and on the Primary Units tab, if I select Architectural as the unit format my dimensions default to feet and inches. However, if I set unit format to Fractional and put the inches symbol in the Suffix field I force it to read in inches only. It works every time. I'm not sure what you have to do additionally in Arch 2008 to get it to work. Seems a bit puzzling. Quote
whitemarlin Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 You are exactly right, that works. I tried it again and that was the answer. I dont know why it wasnt working initially. Thanks! Quote
Raggi_Thor Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Will you ever use meters and millimters? Quote
ReMark Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 whitemarlin: I'm glad things are back to normal for you. For a moment there you had me scratching my head. Thanks for the update. Quote
