tzframpton
Inventor users, quick question. I am not one who fully appreciates the "Free Orbit" type (Shift+Wheel Mouse) so I scoured the Options to find under Display > 3D Navigation > Default Orbit Type and changed it from "Free" to "Constrained". However, with this change I feel nothing happens. Any ideas to have this set up for a "less" free orbit? Thanks in advance! -TZ
tzframpton
Okay, I think I found it - under "Look At Behavior" I changed the option to "Align with Local Coordinate System" and it seems to be functioning the way I'm used to. Please feel free to confirm if this is in fact what I was looking for... I'm not too far into Inventor yet.
Lazer
Everyone is different but you will find using shift and mouse to orbit is very common with most Autodesk 3d apps, Fusion 360 and Alias also have it as standard making it very easy to jump between the 3 programs. I use to use F4 once I got use to shift and the middle mouse button I never went back. I also keep it on free, have a play and you will get use to it in no time.
