the drawing opens but as soon as i try to save it i get this message "internal error saveres.cpp@154" and the application closes.

Posted

I have also tried saving it to DXF but the same error appears...

Posted

i tried it as well but the same error comes up

Can you attach a copy of the drawing file to your next post? I'd like to take a shot at it. No promises though. Sounds like it may be corrupted beyond salvaging. Don't you have a backup copy or a .bak file you can resurrect?

Posted

I cannot attach it, the dwg size is 1.3 mb and the limit is just 1mb.:(

resurrect the .bak file, you mean i should delete it and then try again ?

Posted

is there any other way of sending you the file?

Posted

Why? It's corrupted. What are the chances it can be salvaged?

Do you have a .bak file for the drawing?

Posted

Try to make write block, it's may help you...

Posted

yes i have the .bak file. I was completing my drawing and when i clicked on save that error appeared, then i again opened the drwg n saw the changes i had done had disappeared and i re drew them again and clicked on save, the same error came again... my drawing is 90% complete. :(

So you can open the drawing after all? You just can't edit then save the drawing is that it?

Posted

yea i can open the drawing and i can edit as well but it just doesn't save....gives the error when i do that.

Have you tried doing a "saveas" under a different file name?

Have you tried CAD USER's suggestion re: WBlock?

Have you tried doing a copy/paste to a new drawing?

Posted

Yea i tried "Save as" and "Wblock" as well. its still the same error . "Internal Error: !saveres.cpp@154: eFilerError"

Posted

Yea Bro tried that as well :( , the moment i press Ctrl+C the error comes.
