ReMark
The basics are covered here.... https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-install-custom-hatch-patterns-in-AutoCAD.html In AutoCAD LT the two hatch pattern file names are aclt.pat and acltiso.pat. Just curious....what OS are you running?

welldriller
i am sure others will have more information for you about XP. i am running XP but do not have internet service at home. Microsoft has abandoned/don away with XP. you have no upgrades, no protection when on the internet (from Microsoft).
ReMark
Yes, Microsoft no longer supports WinXP meaning there would be no weekly updates or patches available. That does not prevent anyone from running WinXP it just means that computers running XP will be more vulnerable to security risks and viruses and that newer software and hardware (ex. - graphics card) might not work. Support for WinXP ceased on April 8th, 2014.
