Domino7897 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I currently have a model that I need to add fish scale like pattern around the exterior wall of the object. How would I draw this and place this. If i can export the file to another program so its easier or doable I am open to that. Thank you! Quote
MarkFlayler Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Do you actually need it modeled or would a texture suffice? Quote

MarkFlayler Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 To be honest you are better off doing this in 3Ds Max. But if you have to do it in Inventor you could try creating one and then patterning it. Its hard to say without seeing your work. Outside of a wall is pretty vauge, if it was a flat wall it would be pretty easy, if you have advanced surfaces on it...not so much. Quote

The objects wall is made of splines so the wall is curved, and can I maintain the dimensions in 3ds max? Quote
MarkFlayler Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Sure can, just matters how good you are at 3Ds Max. So you are actually fabricating this wall? Quote
