Domino7897
I currently have a model that I need to add fish scale like pattern around the exterior wall of the object. How would I draw this and place this. If i can export the file to another program so its easier or doable I am open to that. Thank you! MarkFlayler
Do you actually need it modeled or would a texture suffice?

MarkFlayler
To be honest you are better off doing this in 3Ds Max. But if you have to do it in Inventor you could try creating one and then patterning it. Its hard to say without seeing your work. Outside of a wall is pretty vauge, if it was a flat wall it would be pretty easy, if you have advanced surfaces on it...not so much.

The objects wall is made of splines so the wall is curved, and can I maintain the dimensions in 3ds max?
MarkFlayler
Sure can, just matters how good you are at 3Ds Max. So you are actually fabricating this wall?
Domino7897
Yes the wall will be 3d printed.
