tzframpton Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I just think the original install location on the G:\ drive doesn't have the files there to reference. Is this an update? Does it let you change the path after you click OK? Quote

halam Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Maybe check some wierd things in C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 201x Revit.ini or others.. Quote
tzframpton Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Thanks for quick response, the reference file is available on same location. Then something is wrong with that file. Maybe out of date, or whatever the reason the installer knows it's not the file it needs. Sometimes stored installer files can be the exact same name, but from a different build so it's not the same. Not sure how you got to this point but I would possible look into a repair. Quote

tzframpton Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Is this some type of network installer? Has the installer file been modified or anything? Have you tried simply downloading the installers fresh from Autodesk? Quote
ReMark Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Is Trend Micro anti-virus software installed on this computer? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Error-The-system-cannot-open-the-device-or-file-specified.html http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-US/1096841.aspx Quote
Handiman Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Please give us a little back ground info- 1 - Has this been working and just stop? 2 - Did you just do an upgrade? 3 - Are you running Windows 10? 4 - If #3 is yes when did you upgrade/install? 5 - are all of your internet items working? (Google, IE, etc...) I had a similar issue when I upgraded to BDSP 2017 and it turned out to be a known Windows 10 issue and their new browser "Edge" taking over but it doesn't want to play with others. Quote
