gbradley
I know that you’re not supposed to dimension ISO drawings. Anyway I was trying to create something for reference, and I didn't like the angle of the Dimensions. Is there a way to make the dimension line vertical? rkent
I have 2017 IV and it dims the proper way (the way you sketched). I can't get it to dim the other way you have shown, not sure what is going on. After starting dim and picking the edge or two points, right click and explore options. gbradley
I can sort of get it by grabbing the dimension and swinging it to align, but it doesn't snap to the 30° or whatever that is. Thanks

rkent
I don't know how you wound up with that iso view. If I create a base view and then project an iso from that the dims work just fine. I would suggest doing that and then deleting the base view.
gbradley
Aw yes, my bad. I made my base view picking the corner of the icon. Then when I tried to dimension from that, it didn't work so well. It's all good now. Thanks RKent
