herguth1 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I'm in a dynamic view in model space 35, -135, distance 60". When I bring it into Layout 1 it comes in as the top view. In the previous drawing when I toggled between model and paper everything was fine. Did I inadvertently hit a key or somehow change a setting? HELP! Thanks, Quote
rkent Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 The view in PS viewport can be of any view. Changing the dview in MS is only for MS layout. If you create a new PS viewport it should show the same as MS. Is that what you are seeing? If not, simply change the dview through the PS viewport rather than MS. Quote
herguth1 Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 The DV command is not active in PS. Quote
rkent Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I just noticed you have 2012, I have 2017 so it may work differently now. Quote
herguth1 Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 (edited) No, I'm working in 2017. just haven't updated my profile. I guess what I meant, you can't use DV in a layout. I've tried doing it with a few similar models and it seems to be working OK. Maybe that model had some sort of glitch? Thanks, Edited February 3, 2017 by herguth1 spelling Quote
ReMark Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 To use DView you have to be in model space. Now you can be in a layout but activate a viewport THEN use DView. That does work. Quote
