johnengineer
After inserting an OLE object onto my drawing (paper space), it does not plot correctly. The OLE object is an Excel spreadsheet and only half of it is plotted. However, I am able to plot the drawing successfully on another computer workstation. Could the issue be with my computer's settings?
ASMI
Yes there is problem. But you can symply Ctr+C in MS Excel and Ctr+V in AutoCAD. All cells will visible and worksheet will inserted as OLE object.
johnengineer
I used paste special and linked the excel file to my drawing. On the contrary, all the cells were not visible. I can't figure out the problem.
Galingula
IIRC Excel is limited to a certain number of lines that you can do that with. Word has its limitations to. There are purchasable solutions for this issue
johnengineer
What is IIRC? I was searching through the plot & publish tab under the options mens. What does the following mean? "Use OLE application when plotting OLE objects." If I checked this box, how will my drawing be affected?

I'll be back
Galingula
http://www.cadtool.net/ It's an issue you won't be able to fix to your satisfaction unless you spend money on a package like the one above. I really think it is limited to a certain number of lines, so do the top of the page, then do the bottom, or something like that
akrajcik
I would like to bring back this thread. I have an OLE image of a aerial land survey that I am laying under the basemap that was drawn. When I plot it on an actual printer, everything shows up fine, but when I try to plot to PDF, many of the lines of the actual drawing vanish as well as the OLE object. I need to know how to print the drawing with the OLE object visible and without messing up the rest of the drawing to PDF files. Thanks for your help!
