nickbduncan
There was a lisp routine a while back that would allow you to put in dimensions, sizes, types as well as other options that would give you 2D pipes, vessels, valves, etc... automatically. I can not find it anywhere. Can someone help me. There may be a more updated version of this. Thanks
ReMark
That, my friend, would be a very robust lisp program. Could you be thinking of an AutoCAD add-on? As an example of one such program take a look at this... https://www.asvic.com.au/MechQ-Piping/ The program sells for $999 U.S. There was a dish head lisp program by the Buzzard back in 2010 and ASMI had a 3D tube and pipe lisp routine in 2009. Those are the only ones I can recall. As for valves it would depend on whether you are looking for "symbols" or actual depictions of valves. Care to elaborate? nickbduncan
It was robust, which is way I miss it.. I had these routines back in the 90s.. I have found a few pieces of it here an there. The latest one I found was for Bolters. the lisp routines my no longer be valid since it was for much older versions of AutoCAD. They were more symbols. They would come in as blocks. nickbduncan
Oh, and BTW these are more DCL files. Not really .lsp files...
SLW210
I moved your thread to the AutoLISP, Visual LISP & DCL Forum.
ReMark
Well good luck finding all the bits and pieces and melding them into one coherent, bug free, program.
nickbduncan
"Your vote of confidence is overwhelming"... Just kidding, I do appreciate the help and I know this is a shot in the dark. But it was a great tool and would help us out a lot with our work.. Thanks again
ReMark
You're looking for a program that as you state was for a much older version of AutoCAD and you have no idea at the moment where it disappeared to. Even if you were to find it that does not necessarily mean it will function correctly given you are running AutoCAD 2016. That means you would have to spend some time finding and fixing errors as they occur. That sounds like quite the challenge to me. What was the name of the program? Who wrote the program? Where did you first have the opportunity to use the program? Have you contacted anyone who you might have worked with that also used the program and may have some clue as to where it can be found? What other measures have you taken to find the program other than posting here?
nickbduncan
I have been looking for a while now, with no success. This was not my first spot to look for this, I know my way around the internet . This is more of a last resort, in hopes that someone still may have the program or knows where I can find it. I believe the program was called "pipe mode 2d" but its been more than 20 years. I have gone through all my old files, documents and even called some old co-workers. With no success. Again, I know this is a shot in the dark. But its still worth that shot... ReMark
I had no luck searching on "pipe mode 2D". What else might it have been called? Who wrote it? What company were you working for when you first encountered the program? Meanwhile, back at the ranch, take a look at this lisp routine by ROBP. Maybe it will be of some use. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?94754-2d-Steel-Pipe-elbows-returns-amp-tee-lisp-with-dialog-box-and-drop-down-list Here is another one by lisp guru Lee Mac. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?29008-Time-Saving-Piping-LISP

troggarf
There are a couple of lisp programs from a guy from India. One of them is a 2D piping program that is named "2D Piping Program" found here: http://www.svlele.com/p2p.htm These piping programs are completely coded using LISP and like you said, they use a lot of DCLs to drive the program.
