Currahee Posted June 13, 2017 Share Posted June 13, 2017 (edited) I have a hard time placing a part in assembly when there is nothing to place a constraint onto. For instance look at this picture for example. Usually I would have to put a small hole in each part for an index to place it exactly where I want it. How can I use the "Join" command instead of / or with the "Constraint" command to put a part in a place without the index. shift1313 Posted June 17, 2017 Share Posted June 17, 2017 how are they aligned if they were real parts? You can use sketches, axis etc to help align, or workplanes as czc said.
