Stanier Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I am now running AutoCad 2000 but previous that, I have had sent a number of drawings originally created in AutoCad but which had been saved as MS-word documents. Is it now possible to re-open these .doc documents in AutoCad 2000? Many thanks Quote
chelsea1307 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 in 08 and 09, the only versions ive tried this in, you can attach a wmf(windows meta file) to a dwg, you first have to convert the .doc to .wmf (i get them when they are already .wmf so i dont know how to conver just that you can) and attach that way but there isnt a way to take a .doc and convert to a .dwg Quote
smorales02 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 When you open the word document in Word does is the image one object? When I copy and paste something from acad to word I can doble click the image in word and it will open up an acad drawing with that image... I just happened to stumble acroos this as I was playing with word and acad so i am not sure what is needed to make it happen, but its worth a try. Quote
