add 2d annotation to a 3d model

Hi

Im planning to create the geometry in SketchUp and add annotation in Autocad. So exporting dwg from SketchUp and opening it in Autocad 2017 I have this dilemma I want to share with you.

I having a problem to add 2d annotation to a 3d model.

My workflow:

In the paperspace, I create a viewport and set the visual style to hidden with an orthographic view, I can see the model, everything is cool till this point.

How can I add text to the model in a way it will appear in all viewports?

Adding text in the model space won't allow it to be read since it’s a 3d object, adding text in paperspace doesn't make sense since I need to locate the point in all corresponding viewports.

What to do?

Please help

"Adding text in the model space won't allow it to be read since it’s a 3d object..."

You're saying that this (see below) is impossible?

3D model with text in MS.jpg

A portion of a 3D piping run model with include text and north arrow (circled in red). The magenta lines you see at the edges of the image are the layout viewport.

The visual style used above was Realistic but even if I changed it to Hidden the text would still show up.

Hi

Ive attached a screenshot

I think I want the text to always face the camera.

The text should always be read whatever viewport I set it.

Please don't tell me you are expecting to see the text in the viewport labeled "LEFT".

Place text on that side as well. One text can't be read from all angles. Can you view your monitor from the side?

Example of a 3D cube with text on all faces. Visual style: Hidden.
