samifox
hi I want to create a big viewport covering all my model space objects, place some rectangles on it, press a command and have all those rectangles clipping the big viewport, the same idea for clip viewport command but for multiple objects. is there a lisp or built-in command for that? Thanks S
rkent
One way to is to draw the rectangles first including the big one for viewport. Use the region command and pick them all, subtract the small from the large, make that a viewport. Another is to draw the rectangles, start the pline command and snap to the corners and go to the small rectangles as well, overlapping the plines as you come back to the outside of the rectangle. Then you use mview to create the viewport with the pline.
