Dimension style doesn't get updated in blocks

Hi,

 

I change "offset from origin" in "Dimension style" for one of the styles; however, the dimensions inside the blocks do not get updated unless open them one by one in Block editor and save them!!!

 

I did a googel over this couldn't find a proper solution.

Does the update continue to fail after you close the drawing and open it again? Also, have you tried the Dimension Update command (it's under Dimstyle after 2015)?

Update and close then re-open the drawing doesn't work.

I have a feeling the update doesn't work for dimensions inside a block. As soon as the block gets exploded then new setting and changes applies!

This is a very annoying bug in AutoCAD if I have the right feeling...

Editting (BEDIT or double-click on the block if it doesn't have attributes) will update the block definition - I admit that the usefulness of this will depend on the number of blocks with dimensions in in your file.
