How can you tell if your drawing in feet or inches?

Kind of a dumb question but I always wondered how if you draw something like a 30x30 fence , how can you tell its 30 feet and not 30 inches?

If the units are set to decimal then who knows ! The only clue may be just that "UNITS" An educated guess would be that you know what the drawing represents so units are obvious. For me a distance of 11200 is mm 11.2 is metres.

I have moved your thread to the Civil 3D & LDD Forum.

 

-DWGUNITS (Include the dash) in plain AutoCAD, I believe Civil3D has a different method for setting drawing units up.
