Trouble with 'Create Cooridor'

Hi all. I am working on a transition lane assembly with AutoCAD Civil 3-D. I have had success creating static lanes, that stay constent over the course of the road design. When I use assemblies to create corridors, and edit all the targets (via the 'Set All Targets') button in the Create Cooridor Dialogue box I have had no problems; however, when I start bringing in the BasicLaneTransition subassembly, I get an error "No Target Found in Scripts", and have no idea what this means. Any ideas?

Have you created an alignment and profile for it to tie to? In the subass'y properties you can set it to "hold offset and elevation", "hold elevation, change offset", "hold grade, change offset", "hold offset, change elevation", and "change offset and elevation".

You need to tie it to an alignment at minimum and if you want it to change the elevation based on a different profile you will need to create that profile as well (along that alignment). Then in your targets just set it as needed.

Hope this helps. If you have more questions just ask.

Note: Next time post this question in the Civil 3d forum as Civil 3d is a different monster than typical AutoCAD 3d.

Yes, I have created an alignment and a profile for the subassembly. Additionally, I have set the Transition option in the BasicLaneTransition to 'Change Offset and Elevation'. :geek:

On another, unrelated note, when I try using the mirror command, to mirror the assembly to the other side of the base line, nothing appears. Thoughts?

All I can really say without seeing it is to quadruple check your targets for both the alignment and profile to be sure you have it targeted correctly.

I don't believe you can mirror an sub-assembly. I think you would either have to copy it, then change the side and slopes or you might have to create it fully. I've never tried mirroring or copying. I've always just created them on each side from scratch. You might look at the help file to see if there are any references to copying and/or mirroring sub-assembly's.
