slimjramirez Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 ACAD MEP '08 I have some viewports going where I'm drawing leaders. They show up in model space, as well as in their respective VPs. I go about my tasks of drafting... and it seems like every time I look back over another VP, leaders have completely disappeared. They're still there in model, but no longer showing in the VP. I've tried REGEN, REGENALL, REGENALLANDKEEPITSHOWINGDAMNIT, but even these won't bring 'em back to sight. I eventually just re-do them, and delete the (original) redundancies for the purposes of plotting as I need, but something just doesn't seem right. Any ideas? Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Are they not showing in the same viewport, or in different ones. It could be a case of the layer they are on being frozen in one of the VPs. Quote
KennyJ Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 just a couple suggestions. 1.) if your turning your viewport layer off to be not viewable make sure your leaders are not on the viewport layer. (common mistake) 2.) I usually make all my leaders in paperspace. Leaders still Osnap to objects in viewports. I tried to re-create your problem and my leaders never disappear. Quote
slimjramirez Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 They're currently all on the '0' layer. And it is in various VPs, not just one. '0' is thawed, on, and not locked. And it's just the leaders that aren't showing up, everything else is fine; the VPs are on Defpoints which is turned on, thawed, and unlocked. I went into modelspace and just exploded them all once I was fairly sure that no further modifications would be needed for the sections/details shown. Once exploded, they re-appeared in the VP. It'll suffice for now. Quote
wannabe Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Are any annotation settings being applied? Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Also check the shade mode in the viewport. 3D wireframe can do some weird things sometimes. Make sure its on 2D. Quote
slimjramirez Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Are any annotation settings being applied? Rah. I had to plot what I needed a.s.a.p. so I kept the exploded leaders, but this very thought struck me, so I started messing around with those settings. I don't have it fine-tuned yet, since I'm bouncing in between a bunch of smaller tasks, but I do think this is the main issue. I'll probably mess around with it a bit more when I get the chance to see exactly what may have been going on. Quote
skipsophrenic Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Once u've got it cracked m8, PLEASE go back an put new leaders in - exploded dimensions will come up an bite you later on - beleive me I KNOW! LOL:lol: Quote
