Using wall hosted families and linked models

When I deal with product families that are installed onto a wall, the family will often be wall hosted. This creates an issue for me as I only work with linked models and never within the architectural model itself - and so there is no wall. Is there a way around this issue?

We always model our own stuff, and we never use hosting - period.

If you want to continue downloading and re-using sub-par manufacturer's Families that are usually too cumbersome to understand or over-modeled or have unsatisfactory hosting issues, I would suggest this video:

Creating your own content that works and works right, or learning how to model content efficiently and quickly would help you greatly in Revit.
