Hi all

Been a long time since I've been here.

A client was using Measure tool on Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (I assume) and says the scale is off. I try on mine and if the measurement should be 20'-0" the pdf Measures 120.00. So it's doing half scale in inches.
In Adobe measure Preferences "Use scale and units from document" is checked.

So Autocad is embedding some scale, but it's wrong. Where can I change this?

I use DWG to PDF, Publish multiple layouts. Autocad LT 2018

and yes, the drawing would be to scale accurately on paper with hard scale. ie viewports are correct.

I work metric and my test gave 800.95 v's 801 actual. Interesting though I plotted a A1 to A3 but distance was still real. Did a plot to A1 and got 800.97 both same this was for the outside title block a inside mview would I guess be at scale.

What is the scale when inserting the PDF into AutoCAD?

Can you post an example PDF?

insert same pdf back into autocad at scale 96..... 1/8" = 1'-0"..... good.

well, it comes out 5 / 256 out similar to BIGAL..... and enrages my inner perfectionist! haha

Pixels start to come into play a line can not be drawn at partial pixel spacing.

Use of the rubbery tape measure helps always spot on.

Sorry, but a PDF is not an accurate replacement for a CAD drawing, just the way it was designed. If you want accuracy, use the proper software and file formats.
