Hi, I installed the C3D service pack 2 last week and one of my coworker as well. Since then, we cannot make any etransmit as it gives instantly Fatal Error. If I am not wrong, as I read over Autodesk's forums there would be a ling between these two.

Can someone tell me what that FIELDEVAL setting is all about? Did someone encountered the same issues and does anyone have any solutions because on the forum pages there is no fix yet for this problem.

Thank you.

I thought FIELDEVAL controls how fields are updated.

I suggest that you read your Help file about FIELDEVAL. Click on the Concept tab.

The other thing you can try is what Bruce Jordan suggested in his post that you reference above. Just do it with a test drawing in case the drawing file becomes corrupted. It can't hurt to try, right?

Before you installed the service pack you did create a Restore point did you not? If so, roll your system back prior to the SP installation and wait for AutoDesk to release a HotFix.

You should always create a Restore point prior to loading any new software and that includes service packs from AutoDesk. Their software is no different than anyone else's (i.e. - can introduce a problem you did not have to begin with).

Thanks for all the advices ReMark. Unfortunately, I forgot to make a restore point on my computer... Some of my coworkers still didn't install it so I guess I'll have to do it on their computer when I want to etransmit. But I'll try all the inputs indicated on Bruce Jordan's post.

Actually, you might like to have a look at this thread. The service pack seems to have been botched by the Autodesk team.

Well well well, it says everything, should've wait a little I guess... Well next time I'll just make a little bit of research over the internet and maybe wait a week or two before installing a SP. Then make a recovery point just before installing. Hope there's gonna be a hot fix quite quickly...

Yeah. It's pretty bad when the service packs need a service pack.
