Hi there,

I keep getting an error that reads:

"Cannot fillet between these two entities."

This occurs when I try to use the radius option when filleting an arc and a polyline. I am unsure as to why this occurs on and off on my drawing, as it has previously worked on other sections. I have attatched a copy to make things easier and highlighted three areas where I am experiencing this problem. I am using AutoCAD LT 2006.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

:)

What fillet radius are you trying to use?

I'm assuming the drawing is at 1:1 and metres.....(your carpark sizes).....

Hi there,

Thanks for pompt reply. The drawiing is at 1:1 and I'm not using a specific radius. The drawing is for prelim purposes so I just measure the radius by specifying two points based on appearance.

I'm not sure that you can actually fillet an arc and a polyline (although you've said that you've done it before).

If I draw a polyline and an arc and try to fillet, then I get the same error message.

I'm quite sure it had worked in the past on a similar drawing. I've listed the properties on the other drawing to make sure, and it was a polyline and an arc. If it doesn't work fo you also the only thing I can think of is that it was originally a line and upon filleting it with the arc, the line became a polyline??

A simple fix would be to convert your arcs to polylines with the PEDIT command. Then you should be able to fillet them.

It will work, depending on the fillet radius you select.....each corner will take a different radius.....the smallest radius appears to be around R3.
