AC 2021 Properties - delay when select/deselect

Hello,

I'm experiencing a curious and annoying delay with each and every entity selection/deselection.

This behavior is dependent upon whether the General group within the Properties palette is expanded or not. It seems to happen regardless of LAYERDLGMODE state.

Unfortunately having this group expanded is very useful for me, so my question is if anyone can help with eliminating the delay AND have the properties palette fully expanded.

That's weird! I have the same problem, I just assumed it was a glitch.

False alarm.

My problem was fixed by purging Linetypes, of which apparently there have been too many in the file.

I guess the program updates the entire catalog for each and every field, on every single selection AND deselection? Ouchy.

That must have been a VERY large number of linetypes.

Seems like a few hundred. The accumulation of several xrefs worth.

I should look into finding a convenient way of auto-cleaning xrefs.
