spotted zebra
I created a block with a simple polygon and three define attributes of text. I wanted the text centered and 5/16" so thats what I specified. Saved it and inserted it in the drawing, everything worked fine until i drug it into a palette. If i tried inserting it from then on the second text attribute would be right justified. i tried everything i could think of but nothing worked help please. thanks in advance for the help! stevsmith
Can you upload the file? It would be easier to find the cause of the problem if we had a cad copy.
mxpxh2o
Hi, have you tried doing an attsync comand on the block before dragging it? also before you do this you might want to edit block in place and check the properties of your attributes. Hope this helps.
spotted zebra
ok i got it fixed but can you explain to me why this worked. I edited the block to my needs and clicked 'close block editor'. I clicked 'save' when prompted. then in the actual drawing i had to 'INSERT' the block then save the file. I drug it to the tool palette and wa-la it works.
dbroada
if you change an attribute using BEDIT it only changes FUTURE insertions of the block. You have to ATTSYNC the block to update all previous insertions too. Your toolpalette seems to have been copying an old definition of the block rather than the newly redefined one.
