troche
When drawing leaders in paper space, if the geometry and relative leaders are moved, at some point in the drawing session, the landings of the leaders return to their original points, sometimes across the drawing. If they are caught immediately, a simple undo command will solve the problem and they stay where they were moved. If not caught, one has to go and manually put the landings back where they belong. Any suggestions on how to get those pesky leaders to stay where you move 'em?

JBullseye74
Or dim your object in Model space like I do.....
troche
Viewports are locked and I am considering using exploded leaders, but I like being able to treat them as single entities.
JBullseye74
So when are they moving / jumping around? Are you moving the object in model space which the leader is annotating? don;t explode your leaders there must be an explanation.
troche
They are moving in paper space and it doesn't matter wether they are attached to model or paper space geometry. After some analysis, I have determined that it is vertex 3 (the endpoint of the leader) that is shifting. It seems to be shifting back to its original point. JBullseye74
Job done then..!>!? so your copying the leader each time you use it rather then creating a new for each annotation.! :D
troche
No, I am not copying the leaders; they are brand new leaders, but I may have figured out what is happening. The leaders effected are created from a custom LISP routine. DIMASSOC is turned on, so I am going to include a line of code to turn DIMASSOC off during this function and turn it back on at the end.
