Attributes of each line mismatch

Hi guys, I have some problem and hopefully I can find the solution here. I have a PDF file with a drawing of streets and roads and each line has their own attributes which represented in text. Some lines are not only straight vertical and horizontal but also have different angles. Now what I want to do here is to feed the drawing INCLUDING the attributes into CAD and then later on store it into database. The problem is when I convert the PDF file into CAD file, some data which represent attributes of the lines seems to mismatch and we have to match it manually before store it into database. What I am looking for is some kind of converter that can strip the information of the drawing in PDF while maintaining its matching information. Please let me know if there is any recommendation or solution. Cheers...

Wouldn't it be easier to work with the original drawing file rather than a PDF? Can't you insist on it?

Hi ReMark, Thanks for the reply. Well, the drawings are already in PDF and we want to extract it without losing any attributes represented in text. Any idea? Cheers....

It's a PDF not an AutoCAD .dwg file. How can you "extract" attributes from it? That's not something I was aware could be done.

Well I dont really know what to do (which is the reason why Im asking). So what Im trying to do is to extract the drawings while maintaining the attributes of the lines in the drawing. The file is in PDF so maybe I need a converter? I've been told that when the PDF is converted to DFX or DWG, the attributes of the lines are mismatch. Any suggestion? Cheers, Mario

I have to agree with mark... I dont think its possible to extract attribute data from a .pdf, You either have to recreate the blocks and attributes or get the origional dwg file from whoever created it.

Have the client or the company that created the drawing email you a .DWG or .DXF version and stop spinning your wheels. Then you can extract all the attributes you need.
