Change Text Size for One Element Only

Recommended Posts

Sorry to be such a drag on this learning curve. I'm working with an RVT model created by the project engineers. Its not bad to learn with but it has plenty of missing stuff and errors. Oh well, I'm not perfect either. The point I keep running into is when I want to dimension something or take a spot elevation, etc... and the text size is too large for the detail level I'm working with. So I figured out how to change the font size but that changes all the fonts in the whole file. Is there a way to change the font size on just the elements I want? I got to believe there is.

I know this question is 3 years old, but there is no answer so I leave this.

1. Select the text you want to change

2. in the Properties window (if it is not already open, shortcut PP) press Edit Type.

3. Duplicate the Type and give it a new name.

4. and edit size or font.

5. The type will be automatically set to the object you have now selected.

Just select the text you want to make in the same shape and assign it to the corresponding type.

You may have noticed, text in Revit cannot be adjusted with the properties of individual objects.

it's like, in CAD, only text in the basic format specified by the STYLE command can be created.

If you want to do just one different style, just create more a new type, so there is no problem. I think.

Therefore, Users should avoid changing settings in the existing type of text, as much as possible.

and in usually, the font and size are usually written in the name of the type, to make it easier to recognize,

such as "~~Arial-20". or something.

It seems to be a good choice for maintaining drawing consistency.

I think the only problem with TEXT is it operates not like Line Styles.

they are belongs to the Annotation both, but works differently.

it does not cause any problems when extracting PDF directly.

but It causes problems when exporting WYSIWYG .dwg files.

I supplemented that in CAD lisp.
