huygen Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Hi, Can anyone tell me how to extrude the 2 plane such as on the image (image is attached below)? Thank you very much in advance Huygen Quote
JD Mather Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Extrude with Taper option or upgrade to R2009 and Loft. Free Inventor LT would also do the geometry http://labs.autodesk.com Quote
GhostRider Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 hmmm, in 09 not difficult at all with loft, but in 2000 I am finding it hard to get the result you want... I am sure there's a way witht the taper extrude, figuring the angle you need though.... I still playing with it .... Quote
papagyi Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 For this model with acad 2000,no need to use extrude. Draw with surface (edgesurf) !:) Quote
huygen Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Hi, Thank you very much for the reply. Can you tell me how to use edgesurf? I do type “edgesurf” in the command box it said that “select object 1 for surface edge”. When I select any of my image, it doesn’t response, but when I explode it, it does work when selected but I do not know how to use it. Regards Huygen Quote
papagyi Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Ya...you can see my attach image.I drew for half portion like your model! I used with edge surf. Here is tutorial link for edgesurf...http://www.caddigest.com/subjects/autocad/tutorials/select/080603_parsai_edgesurf.htm:) Quote
hoss Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 In order to use edgesurf you need four adjoining edges that define the mesh patch. When you are using edgesurf you are creating a mesh for the area surrounded with edges. Lets say you have four lines joint at their ends that makes any shape, as long as they are not one object (polyline), you can use edgesurf to makes surface. Quote
