CyberAngel
I've seen a lot of errors in AutoCAD, but this is a first. I was grip editing a polyline, no big deal, but then a little window popped up. Internal Error EREGEN 8.0. AutoCAD died. It gave me the option to try to save, which worked. I have no idea what caused this error. I pasted the polyline from another drawing because it was on a layer I needed. Nothing special, or so I thought. By the way, does anyone know why operating in the Drawing Recovery Manager takes so long? I select a project and wait. I open the list of files and wait. I close a project and wait. It's waiting for the system to tell it about files, of course, but this particular app seems to take longer than most of the others.
ReMark
The error you refer to was, at one time, found in the initial release of Civil 3D 2012 but was subsequently addressed in a service pack. Most people who reported receiving such an error were in the process of grip editing a design profile. It was discussed on the Civil 3D Forum. It didn't seem relevant, since they had presumably fixed it, and that wasn't what caused my error. There were no other hits that came close. I'm going to chalk it up to AutoCAD having a bad hair day, unless it happens again.
