CLAYTONA82 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I am trying to upload a Steel LISP Routine from the CAD Corner website and I am not sure how to do it. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks Clayton Quote
ReMark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Go to the CT AutoCAD FAQ section. Look under Recent Entires. Then find "How do I load an AutoLISP routine?" Quote

dbroada Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 also be aware that LT doesn't support LISP so you may be wasting your time. Quote
ReMark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 On the otherhand, if you are using LT, by adding on a piece of software called the Toolbox, you could use LISP. But it's going to cost you. Quote

ReMark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I don't recall. Here is the software manufacturer's website. I think, like AutoCAD, it must be purchased through an authorized reseller. http://www.globalcad.com/products/toolboxlt.htm Quote
CLAYTONA82 Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 I work for a company that fabricates structural steel and I am doing some small detailed shop drawings. All I really need is a "Steel library" where I can go in a pick a shape from a list. Is there any way I can do this without having to buy another program. I hope I am making sense. Quote
ReMark Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 By "pick a shape" do you mean a block? Quote
ReMark Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Steel shapes library available at: http://www.cadtoolsonline.com/blocks.htm Quote
uddfl Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 How much will it cost? I don't recall. Here is the software manufacturer's website. I think, like AutoCAD, it must be purchased through an authorized reseller. http://www.globalcad.com/products/toolboxlt.htm About US$400 but IMO the ability to run LISP in LT is worth the investment. This seems to be cheaper: http://www.cadopolis.com/Store/Addons/LT-Toolkit-for-AutoCAD-LT-P253C47.aspx but I have not used it. Quote
CLAYTONA82 Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 Steel shapes library available at: Thanks that is exactly what I needed! ReMark, if I have an object that I use over and over again how can I save it; so I don't have to keep drawing it? Quote
