Uploading LISP Routines

I am trying to upload a Steel LISP Routine from the CAD Corner website and I am not sure how to do it. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks Clayton

Go to the CT AutoCAD FAQ section. Look under Recent Entires. Then find "How do I load an AutoLISP routine?"

Thanks I'll try that.

also be aware that LT doesn't support LISP so you may be wasting your time.

On the otherhand, if you are using LT, by adding on a piece of software called the Toolbox, you could use LISP. But it's going to cost you.

How much will it cost?

I work for a company that fabricates structural steel and I am doing some small detailed shop drawings. All I really need is a "Steel library" where I can go in a pick a shape from a list. Is there any way I can do this without having to buy another program. I hope I am making sense.

I don't recall. Here is the software manufacturer's website. I think, like AutoCAD, it must be purchased through an authorized reseller.

About US$400 but IMO the ability to run LISP in LT is worth the investment.

This seems to be cheaper: http://www.cadopolis.com/Store/Addons/LT-Toolkit-for-AutoCAD-LT-P253C47.aspx but I have not used it.

Steel shapes library available at:

Thanks that is exactly what I needed! ReMark, if I have an object that I use over and over again how can I save it; so I don't have to keep drawing it?
