Tom Beesley Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I am running LT2008. Aerial.jpg do not stay loaded after exiting autocad. Does anyone know the setting to fix this? It would not be a big deal to reload if it did not take an entire minute to reload each aerial which are 30meg each. Thanks Tom tbeesley@rivertoncity.com I am new to this forum, do I read responses from the forum site or are emails sent to my email address. Quote
Cad64 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 You can choose to receive email notifications of replies to threads that you are subscribed to, by going into your User CP, Edit Options section, under "Messaging & Notification", set your "Default Thread Subscription Mode" accordingly. Or you can just come back here to read responses. I would advise against posting your email address in the forum though. You never know who's lurking around. As for your question, I see you're using Acad LT, so how did you insert the image? I know they added the Imageattach command to LT recently, but I don't remember if it was 2008 or 2009? Quote
rkmcswain Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Where is the JPG stored? On the local machine, on a network drive? How is it attached, with no path, a relative path, or full path? Quote

Do you have any suggestions to solve my problem? Thanks so much for helping me. Quote

It is also attached with the full path or in other words the path points to the folder and file on the network. I appreciate any help you can give me, Thanks Quote
rkmcswain Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 One more question, is the full path a UNC path or does it use a drive letter? Quote
Tom Beesley Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 One more question, is the full path a UNC path or does it use a drive letter? I think it is a drive letter in other words the file is on a drive we call the shared drive and the path takes the following form S:/folder/folder/aerial2007.dwg(this is a basemap aerial of the entire city) this dwg has a dozen .jpg files attached to it. I then take the aerial2007.dwg and xref it into my working drawing, which gives me the ability turn on the aerials I need for that section of the city. Quote
rkmcswain Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I have seen instances where AutoCAD can't resolve a drive letter. If everyone has equal access to these images, then try using a relative path. Quote
