kjetilhansen Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Hi First post here, but have been reading alot I read somthing i dident like here... That i coulden take like 10 lines and then "fill" them to make them solid... My problem here is; If you see on the pic. i made the thing next to the box in regular lines, and now i want to carve that shape out of that box... But if i choose those lines i made and use the SUBTRACK tool, it gives me an error... So i was woundering how do i make that shape carved out of that block to the right...? Thanks. Quote
azzro10 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 "regular lines" so its not a true 3d solid i assume? they subtract command is for subtracting solid objects. use the pyramid command. hope im the right track to what ur asking. otherwise wats the error message say? Quote
ReMark Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 The box can be an extruded rectangle. As previously stated the PYRAMID command can be used to make the pyramid. Then all you do is move the pyramid to where you want it, in relation to the box, and use the subtract command. Since both objects are solids there is no problem (error) when doing this. The PYRAMID, like the TORUS and the SPHERE for example, is considered a "primitive". Quote
