Ferronovum Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I ran into some problems with my output I just figured out how to use viewports. Still very new to AutoCAD 2009. The 3D view looks okey but the other views that are supposed to view the exterior in scale 1:100 (Parallell view) is messed up. Does anyone have any idea of whats wrong? Garage 3D version 4_1 Layout2 (1).pdf Quote
Ferronovum Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 Com'on 20 views and 9 views at the pdf and no one has any idea? I set back to realistic instead of 3D Hidden and that works. So, any known issues with plotting 3D Hidden? Quote
wannabe Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 "Messed up" is loose at best. Be more specific and I'll see what I can do Quote
wannabe Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Maybe you are wanting to create a section view? I don't really know those commands too well. I've used them once or twice. Try reading last month's Michael's corner and follow the link to 3D tutorials. Quote
Ferronovum Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 "Messed up" is loose at best. Be more specific and I'll see what I can do Okey, more specific: I have a garage in 3D model, almost down to every nail and skrew. Including texture and stuff for rendering. But for plotting on a B/W laser printer I only want to se the conturs and no details behind the closest object. Just like the Visual style "3D Hidden". I set the styles and so and it looks good in AutoCAD but when I preview and plot it looks like the PDF posted in first post. When I plot with the "realistic" style it looks good on the plot but due to colors almost everything is black and its hard to see what's what. Quote
wannabe Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Ok. Of you click on the viewport and look at it's properties, there is an option for plot style or plot appearance; can't remember now but I did have a similar issue and that proved to be the case. Basically, just go through the properties of the viewport and look for fields with names that might indicate that kind of semantics. Quote

Checked that and even created a new viewport from scratch but still end up with same output Quote
wannabe Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Ok then I suggest you make a section for each of the "messed up" views. I'll try and find a link to some tutorials. I think it might be SECTION or FLATSHOT. Can't say just yet as I don't use them often... ever:D Quote

Thanx for the link. Section isn't what I am looking for right now but I know that I will need that later in the process. Going to look into Flatshot now. Quote
Ferronovum Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 I found this: http://www.augi.com/publications/hotnews.asp?page=1443 See if I manage to get the grip on this. but if anyone has a good tutor on Flatshot, please post a link. Quote
