Fillet query

Hi There,

How do you fillet an edge that tapers to a vertex?

I want to fillet the web running between the hole and the slot as shown in the attached image.

The fillet fails and I presume it is because the edge tapers out.

TIA, Steve

Attach the file here. Indicate exactly which edges and the fillet radius.

I do not see any edges on that part that cannot be filleted.

Information was not included. Fillet R5 in first image.

Fillet R2 in second image with Red fillet added first and then Black fillet added with Chain option.

Thanks

Sorry for the lack of info but the size etc is irrelevant since i tried several sizes with the same result.

I still can't get the fillet you have done in your first image. If I fillet the edge you filleted in red first then I can fillet the back edge of the web with no problem but I just can't seem to get the back edge to fillet alone even at 1mm. All other edges seem to fillet fine.

It's not a major problem as this is just a training excercise and the fillets weren't explicitly required however I just wanted to add them as I feel it finishes the model.

Did you just issue the fillet command and just follow the prompts or did you do something special?

Steve
