Viewport properties

Ok, I make a viewport; select it open the properties window and pick the scale I want.. but on some of my drawings the list of scales are not architectural but civil... I have even tried setting the scale at the command line (z;1/48xp) but the scale is way small like the over scale of the drawing is off..i dont know.... I am on land 2007 which might have something to do with it..please help me

If you're working in Land (or Civil 3D) your units are probably setup for 1 drawing unit= 1 foot, not 1 drawing unit= 1 inch. If you want to draw in Architectural units use the Units command to switch. Also, you can set up different scales with the Scalelistedit command (Add) as shown in the screen capture.

that scalelistedit command is awsome thank you, but i can see that it is set up for 1 unit = 1 foot and my units are set at architectural...any suggestions? Sorry this is the first time i had to use anything but ADT
