alijahed Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Hi All, would you please union the red and yellow objects? after that in mine I have intersection line between them! why? and the other question is; when I try Interfere command to remove the interference object it doesn't work! can somebody try that as well? Cheers Ali Drawing1.dwg Quote
AMANDALEE Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Hi Ali...I get this error tryingto do that, sometimes objects can become too complex for acad to handle. Though ive done some very complex 3d at times too, its just an inconsistency. Maybe someone else will have a solution. The Boolean operation on solids failed. Modeling Operation Error: Inconsistent face-body relationships. Quote
AMANDALEE Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Playing further with this, I xploded and re extruded the yellow section. This then joined seamlessly with the red. Removing the small section in the centre then worked, although it left some small faces behind, its a diffrent size in part correct? Quote
alijahed Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 Thanks mate, how did you get on with the interfere command? Quote
AMANDALEE Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 That is a new command for me, never noticed it before. So much to learn.............I thought you meant solid intersect....... Quote
kimkat_tkl Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Interefere will show you how the objects 'overlap' but it won't remove the 'overlap' from the objects. To do this you need to use interfere to create an 'overlap' object then subtract it from the intial objects. Quote
mickchua Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 thank you for the info. i learned something out of this thread. Quote
