jbwilliamz
Hey, There seems to be a problem when I'm trying to plot one of my drawings! I'm converting the CAD drawing into PDF (easier to plot for a friend) through CutePDF, then when I preview the drawing as a PDF, there seems to be a long black strip accorss the bottom of my drawing..!? I've purged/audited the drawing and eveything seems fine. Any ideas what this could be? I have never had the problem before either. Tiger
Is it a 3D-drawing? If it is, I'm kinda glad because it's happening to me all the time with every 3D-drawings. I've solved it with using the Dwg to PDf printer instead.

PS_Port
Sounds like text masks, cutepdf does that to mine sometimes jb, you probably understand text masks wiping every thing out underneath the text, but some pdf printers see that wipeout or mask as a rectangle filled in, to be plotted. try selecting some of the text to see if there is a mask in the properties dialog box and delete the mask if there is one. jbwilliamz
Problem (kinda) solved. Copied the majority of the drawing I did, apart from the problem area (which was a couple of dimensions) and basically re-drew what was missing. Seems to have done the trick. Cheers! ssd
Use PDF995 freeware for conversion to avoid the problem.
