SRice Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I'm currently using AutoCAD MEP 2009 and I've been tasked with explaining how to use Project Navigator. I've tried searching for a tutorial that explains how to best use it, but I've been unsuccessful. Does a tutorial or some sort of "how to" exist for Project Navigator? Thanks! -SRice Quote
tzframpton Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 F1, in the Help file. Its got a pretty good explanation of everything there. Quote
Noahma Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 The way it has been explained to me, and used in practice. Constructs are anything that is part of the building IE walls, doors, roofs. Anything that can be constructed. Elements are items of the building that are used in more than one location IE comercial bathrooms, and toilet partitions etc. Views are soley for documentation, do not put any model parts within these files, that belongs in the Constructs files. Sheets are well.... sheets. Here is a good set of classes, the signup to watch them is free. http://au.autodesk.com/?nd=class&session_id=3194 I know it is for Autocad Architecture, but they are very similar in nature. Quote
BrownKeithA Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 If you are on subscription, you can access Autodesk University and find some very nice write-ups on the Project Management system in Autocad Architecture. It is identical to MEP in how it works. If you are not on subscription, if you send me an email, i could probably hook you up with some documents. Quote
