Calculate a 3D Polyline or Feature Line Vertical Area

Currently, when trying to get areas for retaining walls, I place profiles on top of each other then trace the area at 1:1 to get the sqft. Would there be a way to select a bottom feature line and then the top feature line, where it would show me the area in sf within the command line?

Thank you for any ideas.

If you can plot the 2 lines in 2d ie they will end up with XYZ values, you can Rotate3d the 2 lines 90 degrees join the ends and can then get the area. We used to cheat with retaining walls making the tops 0.001 offset from the bottom this made making surfaces much easier. Thinking about it if you can make a design surface including these 2 profiles can get 3dfaces and get area, again can be done but not a 2 minute fix.

Maybe ask also in the CIV3D section of Forums/autodesk.
