uddfl
As quoted from the ACAD help file:You are right. But for the record, I don't think I have ever seen entupd ever fail to regen when modifying an individual attribute entity.
Lee Mac
You are right. But for the record, I don't think I have ever seen entupd ever fail to regen when modifying an individual attribute entity. OK, but I just wanted to be certain that it would work
Lee Mac
no never mind. the last version was even better. It just depends on how you enter the info in. to create 1.1 - 1.2 - 1.3 - 1.4 and so on. Just enter "1." into the prefix. then, "1" into the middle, then use "1" as an increment. this will cause it it say "1." "1" = 1.1 - 1.2 - 1.3 hope that makes sense. you can still do anything like "Item 1." for the prefix to get a result of "Item 1.1" - "Item 1.2" and so on. Thats, ok, til you get to 1.9... now what would really be sick to see is if we could enter fields into one of the prefix, middle or suffix... Fields? can you do that on '04? _________________________________________________ I just found that I would need to set my units precision to 0 for it to work correctly.I think setting it up as an option would be better. What are your thoughts on this Lee? I will have a think on this, I may try to incorporate both, without a toggle - I really don't want to clutter the DCL too much
Lee Mac
Ok, this fixes a few things - you can now have everything except decimals with leading zeros.

MikeP
Thats, ok, til you get to 1.9... what are you referring to? it goes 1.9 then 1.10. no issue here. the only issue I found is that shift + space does not work for me.
Lee Mac
what are you referring to? it goes 1.9 then 1.10. no issue here. Hmmm... in the maths that I study, 1.9 always went to 2.0... the only issue I found is that shift + space does not work for me. Do you have Express Tools? The detection of "shift" is made by a function called "acet-sys-shift-down", which is an Express tools function. Also, you do have to hold shift when pressing space. Does the shift + tab work for you? If it doesn't work, what happens instead?
Lee Mac
:DGood deal Lee! Cheers Buzzard - I am working on the problem with decimals AND leading zeros... then all will be complete.
Lee Mac
Ok, I believe this allows decimals with leading zeros.
MikeP
Hmmm... in the maths that I study, 1.9 always went to 2.0... Oh well thats exactly what I want it to do. 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12... Im my work I need to label a lot of groups. Id actually be using more of "A.01, A.02...." to label all of my parts I see what you mean though.
