use of list comand

My drawing has number of lines in same layer (Eg: plumbing drawing)and I used list command and got the result in note pad document. then i pressed and hold the enter key and note pad window disappeared and saved somewhere......I cand find this Save location....how i find it...can't we change this location......(finally i want to copy those datas to a xcell sheet)

Are you sure that it is a Notepad document and not the AutoCAD Text Window (that looks like Notepad)?

 

If it is the AutoCAD Text Window, then by pressing F2, you should get it back.

it is AUTO CAD text window.....it can get back as you told....thank again your great help

Thanks for advise......several members replied to my qestion but still not clear.....i want to calculate the length of number of lines in same layer......some members have posted routines...but i still cant stablish it properly....pl send me required routine and explain how to save it and works on

The thread that you responded in earlier (Link) has some suggestions on how to do this, Fuccaro have given you a suggestion here. What seems to be the problem? If you try to explain where you get stuck we'll try and help you further. Just saying "It doesn't work!" is not helping anyone right now.

I could load the routine which you have sent.....after select a line and press enter key it asked "would you like te measure the length" i typed as "yes" but nothing happened ....pl. tell me what is the key word i should type......
