How to force running commands in the created drawing ?

I can open a drawing and insert a point, Zoom>Extents and the dot shows in the middle.

 

Using the original Code I have to change the point type then Zoom>Extents works.

 

I don't really have time or need to track down the issue.

QNEW opens the Template referenced in QNEW so SysVars would be set and known.

 

I see no reason to go about this in the manner desired by the OP and the OP seems determined to do things the hard way.

Yes - I have actually used this technique in the past. I don't know if I have any code currently to show you (this was a long time ago) - but I know it works.
