I've just started at a new company, have had AutoCAD LT 2027 installed and am currently setting up my preferences etc.

What I've noticed is that the command line now obscures the visible drawing area which didn't happen with previous versions of CAD I have used. In the attached image I have highlighted in red the affected areas, including the UCS and balloon notification. When I zoom extents the bottom of the drawing is also obscured and it happens in both model and paper spaces.

I thought it was to do with the lock settings for toolbars and widows but changing those does not seem to help (I always have them locked by default).

What I have just noticed is that when I press F2 to view the command history it no longer opens in a separate window but instead just extends vertically so am wondering if it's anything to do with that but I cannot find any relevant settings.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this please?
