LIU Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) hi to all , i created a 100 ft wide rectangle, and applied zoom extents, saved and closed drawing. when i reopened drawing , green line was not collinear to y-axis. zoom previous did not worked. any solution to that ? Edited October 2 by LIU Quote
SLW210 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 What's the "green line"? Hard to tell anything from an image. Please explain better or post the .dwg. Quote
Paul Li Posted October 2 Posted October 2 See if it makes a difference if you completely docked the command prompt instead of having it floating at the bottom Quote
LIU Posted October 2 Author Posted October 2 green line is line of y-axis of ucs , it is not a separate object. i have to bring this view in a form as that of new drawing, where green line ( of ucs ) is normal, Quote
LIU Posted October 2 Author Posted October 2 that is green line , after zoom Extents application , this shows away from ucs ( y-axis ). what to do to solve it ? 1 Quote
Paul Li Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Looks like your 1st dwg might not be in plan and 2d wire view. Try this sequence of command: _.VSCURRENT 2 _.Plan _W Quote
BIGAL Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Maybe this UCSORG set origin point to say a object point. UCSICON ON will display corner icon for current UCS. Quote
CyberAngel Posted October 5 Posted October 5 If that green line is the Y axis, it's not part of your drawing, it's part of the environment. Where and how it appears will depend on the local settings. That's probably why it looks different when you reopen the drawing. If you need that axis as part of your drawing, consider drawing a line there. At least then it will become part of the extents. LIU Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago sorry, i had a problem with autocad, this is the drawing file , open the drawing and roll wheel to yourself. what is problem with red and green lines parallel to x-axis and y-axis My-Architectural-Templyte-1.dwt Quote
Paul Li Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @LIU When I first open your dwt template dwg this is how it looks like with the UCSICON on the lower left corner but no red or green lines shown: Then I scroll the mouse to zoom outward then eventually the red & green lines show up with the UCSICON now positioned at the location where they cross: But once I use the scroll mouse to zoom in again to the point where the green and red lines are close to the lower left hand corner of the drawing window, the UCSICON is displayed no longer at the location where the two lines cross over: This is normal display behavior because AutoCAD is trying to display the UCSICON at the origin where X (red line) and Y (green line) crosses = 0,0. If you don't want to see the UCSICON constantly moving then enter the following at the command prompt: UCSICON NoOrigin Now when you zoom in and out, the UCSICON is no longer constantly moving to try and position itself at the corner of the green & red lines. But instead the UCSICON is now always positioned in the lower left corner of the drawing area: Hope this answers your question. Quote
