XoD
If your computer is Dell with NVIDIA graphics card, If your computer is fast like a rabbit, if your mouse is fast, if your cursor is fast, but your CROSSHAIR is sluggish, then just turn off "cursor coordinate values" on your AutoCAD status bar and use smaller crosshair. hiddenline
I'm on the same bandwagon, guys. I have an Inspirion 1720, running Vista and it's like my cursor is sloppy. i've tried every speed and have tried the 3d deal to- will try the 16-bit suggestion, but that's a little old-school. Anyone who can correct this one should get a prize!
ptal78
Funny this problem hey . I found that disabling my graphics driver makes the cursor fast but games are crap and vice versa. How can this be that using a 256mb video card can slow it down?
ordonata
I have got rid of the slow cursor problem by turning off the Vista Aero scheme and reverting to the classic. This seems to have made everything better and I actually prefer how it looks so - BONUS!! Hope this helps someone.
smplyanne
I have the same problem- as stated above. My mouse/trackpad are on delay only in Autocad. It is up to speed when I am using any other program (including 3Ds). I was able to fix the problem by switching to 16 bit color, but I would prefer to be on 32 bit. I can't find the "hardware acceleration" option in windows 7. I am running 64bit OS, and CAD 2010. My graphics card is the NVIDIA 9600. Does anyone have advice? nicnicman
This seems to have worked for me. Thanks a lot! Guys, with reference to the slow mouse on ACAD 2008 with Vista. You need to do the following. Go to: Control Panel: System and Maintenance: System In the left hand menu choose "Advanced System Settings" In the "System Properties" dialog box choose the "Advanced" tab Under "Performance" choose "settings" In the "Performance Settings" dialog box choose the "Visual Effects" tab Choose the "Custom" option and uncheck "Enable desktop composition" Your mouse will move freely across ACAD now, but dont forget to re-check the box for aero goodies. Organic
Is it because the layout tabs are being cached perhaps?
